De Mondial is approaching and many questions from different channels are popping up from enthusiastic breeders from home and abroad who want to know how registration will work. These are understandable questions; because the Mondial in the Netherlands promises to be a wonderful edition and you want to be there!
Section & classes COM
The COM program is already online on the site, but at the moment only in French and English. Very soon the Dutch translation will be available via the site, at this moment it is still under construction.
Breeders from foreign-speaking countries should turn to their own organization regarding to a translation.
The demand program lists of the different types of cages is available. The cages that are going to be used are now displayed on the site (see on the Dutch part of the site: forms> Information cages).
Registration for the Netherlands
We expect many participants from the three Dutch associations that are part of the COM Netherlands. For the different registration procedures, look for the information given by your association or at the site of Mondial 2019.
The NBvV has placed the NAW data of its members in the COM system in accordance with the AVG guidelines (European Privacy rules). These members get access to the registration system by creating log-in data. This goes in much the same way as we are used to our own Championships. We will set up a helpdesk for questions. Members who have just become member can gain access to the registration system by creating an account. The start date and closing date of your registration will be announced.
A Dutch submitter may only send in birds that have been issued by associations affiliated with the COM. These associations must then be housed in the same country in which the entrant has his domicile. With registration you have the possibility your stam / breeding number of the organization where you are also member.
Participation in the Mondial costs € 13 per bird for foreign participants and € 13.50 for participants of the NBvV, PS and BEC. The 50 cent extra is an extra storage for COM-NL to form a financial buffer for upcoming Mondials. In this way it contributes to the costs of transport in the future.
BEC and PS members
Members of the BEC and PS will be informed by their own organization about the registration method.
Register by other countries
Registration for host countries takes place as it did in other years. Consult your own organization.
Contribution of the Dutch birds
bringing in birds takes place via an customized system. Entrants from the Netherlands do not receive their documents at home as usual by Dutch Championships. They receive their documents at the time of actual contribution. We have three places where birds can be handed in. The singing canaries via the entrance “A28” (highway side), the color and posture canaries, exotics, hybrids and small parakeets through the “Main Entrance” and the European culture birds and the large parakeets through the side door of the “Dieze Hall” (left-hand side while standing in front of the building). In these places you must register for the delivery of your birds, after which you will receive a reference number. You can then wait quietly (in the restaurant) until your reference number is called. This is to prevent a jam in front of the doors. This is different from what we are used to at our Dutch National show. The advice is to bring the birds into transport cages. This does not apply to all birds. Birds that are shown in their own wooden cages according to the demand program do not need to be transferred to another cage. The contribution closes at 16:00. This time limit is final.
After the show, you will be getting back your birds as you are used to. You will be accompanied by a co-worker NBvV who will place the birds together with you in your own transport cages.
Commercial sales of birds
During COM competitions, it is common for commercial providers, often from abroad, to set up their own stand. In Zwolle this is also possible by renting a stand in the “IJsselhal”. This sale is separate from the sale as the NBvV organizes this for its members. The rules relating to animal welfare also apply to these providers. The website contains examples of what is and is not allowed. During the entire show, strict supervision will be held by Supervisors (surveillanten) of the NBvV. Violators are removed from the hall when there is no improvement. Individuals or associations that want to offer birds themselves can also rent a stand (contact can be made through sending an e-mail). Trade and transfer of birds is prohibited outside the hall. This is also monitored continuously. The police are called in for violations.
Bird Transfer document
At the hall a special counter has been set up where a bird transfer document can be obtained. The new owner often needs this because of his/her own National regulations to be able to import the bird in his/her country. This transfer document is an official document and costs 5 euro.
It will be possible to obtain admission tickets via e-ticketing, both for visitors from the Netherlands and from other countries. It is also possible for groups to arrange this in one go. Keep an eye on the site where a link will soon be placed. Owners of E-tickets are allowed to use a “fast lane” at the entrance.
Entrants from host countries
Obtaining an admission ticket for entrants from a host country is separate from the visitors. On signs on the façade of the hall you can see where you need to be as contributor. This you have to note by yourself. It saves you a lot of time. An identity card is required for the issuance of an admission ticket.
You are entitled to free parking during the handing in of the birds and on the day of the closure / collection of the birds. Parking tickets are issued at the entrance after showing proof of participation and proof of identity. During the show there is no free parking except for organization and staff members.
Sale of Catalog/Palmares
The sale of catalogs / Palmares takes place in the hall and not at the main entrance cash desks. In two places there are sales outlets where you can buy a catalog. This is near the main entry, but also in the stand of the NBvV, situated in the competition hall.
Catalog and judging sheets for the contributors
Entrants do not receive their already paid catalog at the entrée, but in the AA hall where the competition birds are displayed. Around 40 country stands have been set up there you can find the catalogs and judging sheets after handing over contribution documents.
Employees, exhibitors and convoyeurs
Employees and exhibitors have to report at the side of the IJsselhal (near the “A28” entrance). There they get a wristband and do not have to stand in line. Convoyeurs have a badge and can enter via the “A28” entrance.
